Didn’t finish- time ran out…

Liked her story better than the inner one about robots, but the combo worked. Disability & family relations were strong themes.

Read for a book club discussion. Learned some things and will retain some ideas, but overall hard to read. Stories were interesting and Detroit story was close to home. Data and numbers got old.

Book club choice- didn’t finish- wanted more of a story than scattered repeated possibilities

Nothing gets wrapped up, as I guess we need to go on to the sequel. We’re left wondering about much as the end approaches and we’re in an essay about death. I wanted more of the characters, even after 666 pages. Will I read the next one? Yes!

Now I’m always looking for the Mother Tree!

Not sure I liked the writing style, but the book created a feeling about Israel and Palestine that will stick with me.

I kept thinking how the five of us had had a really unhealthy family, but I saw then too how our roots were twisted so tenaciously around one another’s hearts.

I like Wendy's review. Not sure where we were going but the ride was sometimes enjoyable.
