It's certainly different. maybe it's just me, but the constant use of musical terminology is hard to understand. I just hope I'm not missing anything by breezing over some of the more cryptic descriptions. Having a hard time staying interested, but I'll keep trying.

Michael Snowden is on page 170 of 367 of Passion Play (River of Souls, #1)

At firsrt, it took me a while to get into the story. I had trouble with character names and places; it seemed like too much too fast. However, after page 100 or so I haven't been able to put it down. It's fantastic so far! I did find the... graphic part (to avoid spoilers ) to be overly disturbing, but it adds considerable depth to the main character. Looking forward to devouring the rest of the book.
