Fighting a lot of feelings reading this book… I have heard great things over and over and I am curious to experience the wisdom within, but also feel some resentment. Yes, the author went through some tough stuff and yes, she does actually work a conventional job but also, I couldn’t even take a few weeks off of work when I had a breakdown much less go travel… maybe it’s the situation in UK versus the US?

No idea why but I’ve been trying to read this for months now and I’m only on chapter 4. I would think Victorian vaudeville lesbians would be super engrossing, but I just can’t keep my attention on it. Will give it a bit longer…

Wow. As someone who has had an unspeakable existential dread and sorrow since childhood, this book makes me feel really validated. I think it’s going to be up there with “The Highly Sensitive Person.”
