Only a few pages in and the author’s writing style is incredible.

Getting better, a lot of depth and backstory about the main characters

What's tripping me up is timeline & cultural inaccuracies. I lived in Chicago in 2014. AI fitness trackers didn't exist (still don't). Basic pedometers you clipped onto your belt, heart rate straps. "10 things you're doing wrong" lists were not yet popular. Desk treadmills were not a thing yet. Etc, etc.

Why would she continue to use her real name after such a well known escape? 😩

How many more times do we need to hear something "prickles" or "warms" or "tingles" at every other turn? Where was the editor? This is not Emily Henry's best work. Only because I've enjoyed her other books will I try to continue...

I caaaaaaaaan't. This is so bad.

Blehhhhhhhh. This is starting off in true Kristin Hannah fashion. Annoying, flat, cliché female characters. If it was turned into a popular series, certainly it must get better...

Not a great start - this is already a book screaming at you that you're not good enough as you are today. That there are things to change and fix. Don't we do that enough to ourselves already?

I try to take audiobooks with a grain of salt, because I know it takes more drama to get the point across in a written book, but sometimes when read out loud, things sound fanatical.

This is sounding fanatical.

Through Chapter 4 in the audiobook. Mel Robbins sounds like my spirit animal. The first audiobook I've ever enjoyed. She narrates herself and is very compelling.

"One reason it's impossible to un-see trends is that our minds are engineered to seek out patterns and to sign meaning to them."

Going to be really annoyed if I already figured it out on page 124.
