it’s marinating / lingering. nothing like crime & punishment. I loove C&P. This is still good but wasn’t expecting it to be centered around puns religion & faith. chapter 5 was difficult to go through

need to stay focused .. sometimes i’m not

Apart from the weird quirky threesome-ish sex scene, I don’t get how this book is considered ground breaking or unique when all it did was regress into old habits
plunge into the past from, again, a mainstream perspective
not sure of the point

captivating book / content. The food content, the sociocultural relations.

I do not get why it is ok to convince people of color not to “see conspiracy theories everywhere” and not share the same sentiment regarding feminism that woman too should not see conspiracy theories everywhere. Men do not have it out for woman. Why not just share the same sentiment “people are inherently flawed”.

هذا الكتاب عباره عن مأسى لاقصى درجة...المشكلة ان العرب لديهم الكفاية من الأسى الذي يعشونه كل اليوم بخصوص الزعزعة الجغرافية،السياسية و التي تسللت للحياة اليومية ..فلما اقرأ كتاب قد جلب لي الهم ،نفور الكعبة و الخوف على ما قد يحصل بأطفالي؟ لم اجد جماليه في الكتابه ولا شاعرية..كتاب قاسي و مؤذي روحيا ..بلا سبب ولا هدف. أين العمق و النطق من سرد هذه الرواية؟ اكتب هذا لانه فعلا أزعجني كل ما قرأت

جميله تعابير ألفت و افكارها ..ممكن وجود بئس زائد لكن احببت كتابتها المرهفه الحس..لم انتهي من الكتاب..

أنا على صفحه ٨٠..كبرياء ونارسسيه بطل الروايه 'طلال' اجدها منفره وغير واقعيه، بالمقابل، استسلام و ضعف من الطرف الاخر 'هاله' لا اجد فيه شيءاستطيع التواصل معه. وجدته منفر وغير واقعي. لا اعلم اذا كنت سأكمل الروايه

I found her character to be needy without reservation but the problem is that the book delved right away into the main plot without explanation or getting to know the character to understand where she's coming from. Instead her infatuation with the young boy started right from the start and out of no where. It's just lust? A way to tell older women it ok to be predators and to lust for young boys.
