Not sure the purpose of this books. It felt like the writer was under pressure to finish a book and just left a bunch of stories open. Why did he sense the uncle in the car? Why was almost any character relevant? Was there a life lesson? This should have been written as a short story. cut out some chsracters, cut out story lines and then deepen the character ark of just 1 or 2 characters and zone in on 1 story.

Any time I read a book about what went on in 1776, I continue to be amazed how lucky we were that America was created. So many things needs to fall into place. This book did a good job at showing some possible mistakes that the Howe brothers made, there if done differently may have ended the war and the fight for independence be for it even began.
