Der Grund warum ich aktuell nichts anderes mehr lese 😅

This is the scariest kind of horror story there is. It's one of the ones that says 'based on true events' at the beginning. Only in this case it says to be 'based on true events to come' which arguably makes it even scarier. You think that's the scariest part? Oh no. The scariest part is that this isn't a story. It is a very real account of the horrors of climate change. 100% rooted in facts.

This book makes me tired.

And so it begins. Let's see how many months this will take.

I think I'm gonna love this book. It's already so fascinating and really makes you think about science in a new way.

Ok, I really don't care about this girl. Am I heartless?

There aren't many words on a page so in theory you would fly through the book. But the style of writing really bothers me, I keep rereading paragraphs to find out what's going on.

Ok, ich bin zurück an diesem Wälzer und nach dem letzten Abschnitt denke ich, ich sollte tatsächlich mal das Kapital von Marx lesen.

Ich bin hin und her gerissen ob ich das Buch in einem Rutsch verschlingen oder es in Ruhe voll auskosten soll.

There is no plot and the book makes me feel kinda dumb.

I'm not going to continue this read. I thoroughly enjoyed to learn more about the backround of the war in Afghanistan but do not care a bit about football or some random dudes journey in the military. As I feel like the rest of the book focuses solely on Tillman's life and his role in the military and media I don't see the point of reading on

I just decided I won't be finishing this book. It is all about the relationship between fathers and sons and as I'm neither father nor son I'm just not that interested. Furthermore what's going on with this weird obsession with the red-haired girl?

I am enjoying the story but it reads so slow. I feel like I have been reading this forever. Not sure if I am going to finish it.

Mir war die Rolle von Geld in Romanen nie wirklich bewusst. Faszinierend, dass der Wert von Geld tatsächlich mal eine konstante war mit der man den Lebensstandard kurz und knapp erklären konnte.

So this is weird: The book starts with a quote from Great Expectation which I am also currently reading. I feel like it is calling me out for starting yet another book.

Ich hab das Buch gut drei Monate zur Seite gelegt, weil mein Kopf schon von der Arbeit und leiner Weiterbildung zu voll war mit Fakten. Jetzt hoffe ich endlich genug Zeit zu haben mich diesem Buch zu widmen. Das Buch ist so voll gepackt mit Informationen und trotzdem sehr lesbar, ich kann es kaum erwarten tiefer in die Materie einzusteigen.

So this book was first published as a serialized story, so it would have accompanied me through 9 month of my life. I am not going to read it over such a long period, but I do want to try to stick roughly to the publication schedule and experience some good cliffhangers.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. Reading is still going slowly, but the story starts to be more interesting.
