I have forgotten almost everything about this book since I read it the first time

I really hope this book improves dramatically and soon because I will not make it 500 more pages, the first ten chapters are straight up bad.

Oh hell yeah our first introduced side character is a freaky little apoth

I have a theory about where this is going and I’m curious to find out if I’m right

I have no trouble believing this is someone’s favorite book and I hope I never meet that hypothetical person

I’m fairly confident I’ve guessed the “big twist” already and if I’m right I won’t be mad

“His type is panhuman. I had met him on Earth, and on Hain, and on Ollul. I expect to meet him in Hell.”

I can luxuriate in a sentence by Le Guin for hours.

Baby’s first ARC and it’s aggressively my thing!

I love this book so far. Carmilla provides a great skeleton for a sharp, feminist interrogation of self-worth & the paralysis inherent in conforming to societal expectations.

So far this is a novel length Creepypasta and sometimes that’s all I want

Eight stories in and I’m still digging the collection. Chung’s imagination is a weird and wonderful place. Two stories dragged a little in the middle, but so far that’s my only (minor) complaint.

Five stories in and so far there has been one outstanding, two good (but not great), one decent, and one forgettable (and thankfully short). Pretty good average for a collection, honestly.

I’m glad this is for a book club because I have many strong opinions on Tau’s “ruin your own emotional health” speedrun
