David is on page 20 of 495 of A Gentleman in Moscow
The author paints scenes in detail as was the custom before Hollywood films, TV and the internet including your other connected devices. Towles reminds me somewhat of Tolstoy, Dickens, Thomas Mann, Bellow, Joyce Carol Oates and Anthony Doerr.

First in a series of Joel Fagliano's delightful yet occasionally challenging puzzles dated 2017, some clues based on current events are recent history. The first thing I do in the morning is making coffee, Next. the mini-puzzles. Compared to the regular and larger Times crossword in the newspaper, the minis are a nice warm-up and very relaxing. For a reader or writer, you find the words and fill them in.

David is on page 35 of 306 of Our Kind of Traitor
Unlike a movie thriller Le Carre paints very fine details and makes astute character observations about people. With literary flair he develops suspense without resorting to explosions, fireballs and fast-paced action. In other words there are no cardboard characters in a John Le Carre novel For that there's Ian Fleming's portrait of Agent 007--Bond, James Bond.

David is on page 150 of 432 of The Year of Voting Dangerously: The Derangement of American Politics
I am doing a random reading, selecting certain passages that the author had originally published as editorials in the New York Times. Dowd has great satirical wit and does not soft petal her criticisms of the two major presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

David is on page 344 of 568 of The Epistle to the Romans
To what extent was the twentieth century similar and different to the first century proclamation of the Gospel is explored by Barth's commentary on the viewpoint of Paul the Apostle through several corrected and enlarged editions beginning in 1918 through 1933. Paul's letter to the church in Rome came in the early stages of Rome's persecution of Jews and Christians. Barth's context is the Nazi rise to power.

So, logic confounds language. And language beholds the aesthetics of truth, tragedy, comedy, and beauty.

I think it was Douglas Adams in The fun novel Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy who postulated the answer to everything is 42, so I checked that page number, in case that would be a secret code (just kidding). Actually I've read it all, but am starting over. It's that good.

Logical analysis of the elementary truth-possibility appears modest, but isn't.
