I abandoned this book because it is really not meant to be an audiobook. It is meant to be read and thought about slowly and in small sections. Will pick it back up as a paper copy when I can.

I really hesitate to criticize this book because it’s an important contribution to the genre, but where was the editor?! There are sooo many incomplete sentences. Eg. “Especially when you are not wanted.” (pg 56)
“Defined by togetherness and teachers committed to caring for and educating the whole child.” (pg 57)

The prologue is already so powerful! Just wow
