This is the most I’ve ever had a handle on what’s happening in a Locked Tomb book.

I got to the end of chapter one… and then closed the book. It’s almost 9pm which is too late for the anxiety spike over this. I’ll pick it up again tomorrow or in two weeks. Who’s to say.

What a super interesting premise for a book.

I’m so stressed out wtf is going on.

I'm going so slowly through this book because I don't want to miss a single word. Also because it's deeeeeeply unsettling.

There were two back to back that broke me into sobs. And then they were followed by one about Super Mario Kart.

I'm not trying to judge a book by its cover... but I am saying that I'm almost halfway through and there's been zero mention of rollerskating whatsoever.

This book has big In Other Lands vibes and I’m all in.

It’s taking me so long to get through this because I keep getting too anxious to continue.

Every single page of this brings a fresh wave of anxiety. I don’t remember the last time I read a book where I truly had no idea what was going to happen next.

My 2022 reading project is reading all of the Percy Jackson books, including any supplemental books and series.

Turns out a lot of my odd ~food things~ are just from growing up Italian. Butter on bread has always been a big no from me and now I know why!

Second time this year. It’s like being back with old friends. Can’t wait to be able to physically throw the book at the 70% mark since I was reading the eARC last time and couldn’t.

A new season of Obscure with Michael Ian Black and this is the book. I haven’t read this since college (when I read it about three times for fun) so let’s see how it goes… oh…. Almost fourteen years later.

Rereading this book is already like coming home and hugging an old friend.

Oh no things are going too well at the halfway point. Like extraordinarily too well. That can only mean one thing.

Everything I want in a book is this this this this this. If I could do nothing but read and finish this book in one sitting, I would. Oh my GOD.

Well then.

I got to a part that made me throw my phone across the room and scream and almost throw up from the stress and tension!!!!!!

Reading this book is like the living embodiment of the Angela Lansbury Murder She Wrote popcorn gif.

She's the best.

Oh, this is a romp.

Oh god I do not do well when I know what the Big Dramatic Moment of Turmoil will be early on and this one is set up very early. And there are two of them. Oh god oh god oh god.

I am loving this so much more this time around.
