omg this book is so adorable.

interesting. I didn't think I would enjoy this, but so far it's really good.

So many books, so little time.

I'm looking for the title of a picture book I read years ago. I believe the cover is red and shows a girl on a bike. The little girl goes to get ingredients to make cookies. While at the store she buys chocolate chips/m&m type candies. She buys the ingredients and leaves the store, but the shop keeper accuses her of stealing the candy. She leaves the store, but then remembers she has the receipt in her shoe. Ideas?

so far fun. quick moving with lots of fun dialog and even new-englandisms. i would like to point out that we new hampshireites do in fact drop our r's sometimes though.... ;)

Omg, the grapefruit pie with lemon Graham cracker crust sounds amazing.

I love the recipe stories and historical asides as much as the recipes.
