Superhero landing!

I removed "The Unlikely Tale of Finnegan & Chase" from my to-read shelf because I was flipping through it yesterday in my favorite indie bookstore and found the first portion too sad. They both had families. Finnegan gets lost. Chase's mama dies, seemingly without explanation, a few chapters in.

I love cheetahs and how zoos pair cheetahs that don't have siblings with dogs. But this is too sad for me.
