I was going to DNF it, then I saw all the praise for it... I'm going to try a bit more. I like the settings and the promise of the plot, but in the execution, I don't care about the characters, and I have the impression I already know where it's going to bring us. Besides, I find the writing lacks in subtility, for example, the descriptions, or the interactions between Syd and Kincaid
