Another Barbara Kingsolver book to savor, learn from, and wish would never end … while dying to know what happens. I suggest watching the April 21, 2025 60 Mjnutes segment on Monarch butterflies before starting the book. If I hadn’t, I don’t know that I’d have fully grasped this wonder of Mother Nature. 🦋

Barbara Hearn is 80% done with Prequel: An American Fight Against Fascism

Wow. This is like a university level class in how foreign governments and our own politicians have used the system to manipulate us. The similarities between our racist and religious biases pre WWII and now is stunning and terrifying. But it is very dense, and somewhat repetitive - as our dear Rachel can be to make her point - so be ready to dig in or read one of the summaries.
