Something simple to reset the palette of the 3-book trek into depression.

I swear, I knew the heroine of this book was to make interesting choices and one that readers have a complicated relationship with but, I never expected to be this frustrated with a main female character.

I’m proud of choosing to read this series and to somewhat understand the ways wars work and how cruel people can be. How it changes everything, from the internal to the external, and never truly heals it with time. Nobody comes back from the horror. The way this book has me reeling with unsurprised shock and constant tears, is unexpected.

This series is going to leave me devastated, isn’t it?

Even though it’s the second one in the series, The Dragon Republic is turning out to be at least as good as the first one, maybe even better. I’m hooked and deeply invested.

The book gas managed to pique my interest; i can not seem to put it down.

However, there is one thing I have noticed which is annoying me to no end: the overuse of the word "glow" and it's various forms and tenses.

It was a tad bit difficult to get into because of the different style of writing, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit now.

I'm intrigued with this certain raw form of writing and am curious how it pans out.
