Morstone definitely gives Ankh-Morpork vibes which is very fun

Some conflict and stakes are finally happening

So far we have not encountered any real high stakes which is very disappointing for a second book in a duology.

Sometimes you come across a passage in a book that as a retired horse girl makes you wonder if the author has ever sat on a horse.

No idea how far I'm actually in but this has 10 puzzles so I'm going with that. The first two puzzles were some of my least favourite kind of puzzles and i already used three hints so we're off to a great start 😅

The stakes, they are nonexistent. And everyone talks like they just came out of either a philosophy lecture or a therapy session.

This is a pretty terrible place to stop reading but I need to sleep soon and I don't think it will get better any time soon 😭

Has this author never interacted with a puppy/young dog bc this is insane. Who would let their four year-old play with a dog of any age on their own in the garden let alone a puppy?? Everything else about this is nice but the portrayal of this dog is seriously testing me.
