I’m super disappointed in this one. I was hoping for a real page turner but at 37% I’m bored to tears. I keep telling myself that eventually something interesting and unpredictable will happen, but even if it does I’m unlikely to find out because this one is headed for the DNF shelf.

First the author used the phrase “cottoned on to” twice in 2 chapters. I moved past it. At 39%, she referred to “expresso” twice on one page. I’m not sure if I can go on.
