I'm angry at many of the characters. They are lively though.

It's pretty good, it feels like the climax has passed already though, so I have no idea how the action will rise again. I have some predictions. It's actually been predictable already but I'm not bothered by it. Sometimes predictable stories are nice. This is much more about building the characters anyway.

This is a reread for me. I'm not usually a rereader, but I'm so glad I decided to pick this one back up. This woman had quite a way with words.

This is definitely not what I was expecting. It's interesting, and I can't put it down. It better have a good ending though, because lately I've been reading a lot and then hating all the endings.

I'm not a frequent re-reader but I'm so glad I decided to pick this up again. Her writing is just so great. The story itself is pretty slow and average, but the delivery is so flawless that it doesn't matter. This woman had a gift.

One of my biggest issues with the first book was that it prompts you to ask so many questions and then gives you almost no satisfaction by way of answers. The Maze Runner was resolved rapidly at the end with a poorly delivered exposition. The Scorch Trials is setting up to follow the same structure. To be determined...

This is a slow read. It's entertaining, and extremely original, but so involved that it's definitely taking me a long time. I keep reading little bits at a time and then reading other things. I'm sure once the world is fully built that it will go faster, but pacing can be difficult in fantasy books.

I'm taking my time with this one. It's a really fast novel but I keep putting it down. Contemporary has a difficult time keeping my attention.

This book is making me laugh out loud so hard. I may have to stop reading in between classes because I am starting to look like a lunatic at school. The last book I read made me cry spontaneously and this one has me belly laughing to myself. I am definitely glad I picked this up. I am so rarely in the mood for contemporaries, but when I am I always hope to be lucky enough to find one as good as this.

I'm not sure what took me so long to pick up this book, but I am LOVING it. This is totally my kind of read. A modern classic dystopian. This is quickly climbing the stack to my favorites list.

The more I read this the more I like it. I don't know why I put it off so long. There are a few things that I don't like about the characters, and there are a few plot holes, but overall it's just an entertaining pulp read.

Honestly I had no desire to read this book for a long time. Now that I am reading it I'm actually quite enjoying it. It's not at all what I expected, and I'm not sure that the story is going to need to be six books long, but for what popular fiction is worth, this is an entertaining read(so far).

ok, almost done; still gross; getting better. I said this was probably the last Palahniuk book that I was going to read, but then I read an article about "Guts" and how people have fainted because it's so abhorrently repugnant and somehow this has caused me to want to read it.

I can already feel a teary ending coming on. I like this book so much more than I thought I was going to. I hope the ending lives up to the rest of the book.

In the past I have really enjoyed travelogue/humor so when I initially picked this up I thought I would fly through it. After a few days I set it down, not really in the mood for humor. I have picked it back up and resolved to finish it by the time it has to go back to the library on 4/14. It is an enjoyable read so far, but not as hilarious as it was touted.
