What do you call about a book that teaches you so many valuable methods, gives you a new perspective and a good amount of information on a creativity-related subject as music production? Perfect.

I meant Book 4!

Book 3, here we go!

I love Chester Himes. Guy was a master writer whatever way you look at it, never read anything alike A Rage in Harlem. Gotta finish this one weekend, soon.

FANTASTIC. One of the most helpful books I have ever read. Reading this along Ableton training, would be better if I were actually producing along but I can always come back to my notes.

Back to this giant. Hopefully finish it without a break this time (give me two months though) ;)

Part 2 done, so Part 2 is watched again as well. The differences between the book and the series aren't so subtle, yet don't really make much of a difference either. And in most cases, I prefer the story in the book. Although I still think the BBC team did a wonderful job conveying the feel of the novel and the acting is superb. Anna Chancellor and Sally Hawkings (as usual) especially shine in Part 2. Off to Part 3!

Oh what an absolute delight and what a relief that the book turned out to be as brilliant as I had hoped for!
About done with Part 1 and we all know what that means: time to watch Part 1 of the wonderful BBC adaptation for what, the 10th time? No, can't be, I'm pretty sure I've seen it more than a 10 times by now...

Oh boy, I think I spoke too early for this one. The last chapter I read saw a near 180 degree turn in my enjoyment. The protagonist's smartass charm turned to "what an annoying teacher's pet", and he doesn't even sound old anymore. At least hasn't in a while. Add to that the poor handling of war-related issues and I'm quite turned off. I think it might pick up, but I doubt I'll get my first impressions back.

Nearing the end, well, good news is my mini astronomical binos are here. There will be some moon-gazing tonight! Had I read this as a child, I would almost definitely be an astronomer now. But I guess it's never too late to start.

Having a really good time with this so far. Not surprising considering how much I love conversations between old people. Very well written too. It's my first Scalzi, and I'm really enjoying his style.

Thoroughly enjoying this book. What a talented writer and what coherence she managed to equip her story with...

I realize now that this is going to take the whole year to finish and since it can be quite overwhelming (Nazi dreams really aren't much fun), I'll take a break between certain chapters and read another book inbetween. Here's to my first break then!

Just made it to book 3, oh well, will it at least count as 6 books? Grand work though, no complaints.
