The writing style is really strange; not sure if the swear words are meant to be funny, but it gives it a dude-bro style that makes it really weird, not interesting/entertaining. I also hope that the narrator becomes more involved in the story. I'm willing to see what happens, but atp, I'm not hopeful I'll like it (or rate it above a 2)...

I picked this up while browsing the library catalogue and didn’t have any idea how popular it is or isn’t, or the star rating. But now that I’m almost half way through, I’m starting to like it less and less. It’s very beautifully written, but the pacing….my god. Slow af
