This book is messed up

Enjoying it a lot.

Thoroughly enjoying this. Surprised by all the latent homo eroticism, was not expecting that.

Ok they are really overdoing it with this Hamilton/Jefferson thing. They are trying to impose the dichotomy on everything, it doesn't always fit!

Not an auspicious time to begin reading this 1000 page tome, but hey, why not try.

There are some great stories but then also many stories that should have been left on the cutting room floor. This brings down the average quality. The book would be better if shorter and better curated for a higher average quality and some sort of meaning.

Bored.

It is slow going! I very much enjoy the good bits, just a shame they are diluted by the boring bits

Absolutely loving it, such gripping writing. Great prose.

I think it is weakened by some poor argumentation, sometimes saying things that are clearly false or not supported by his evidence.

Intrigued by the idea of using one episode of victimhood to justify a barrage of villainy.

Bewildered by this book. There's some interesting stuff in there but a terrible lack of structure, I don't know what the author is trying to say. Heaps of stuff about education but then strange pivots into whether working class people are racist, an excessive amount about pop music, and then throwaway critiques of 'the 99%' as a concept.

I'm beginning to find it rather tedious
