Except for blood house which our super special girl is a part of and she will be able to kill the king because she’s not part of the spell!

Oh no. Girlie pop is being made to join the trials secretly to cheat and to help her princess win because princess isn’t very strong. And if you survive the trials you get immortality and magic.

So girlie pop is going to be counted as winning and get her blood magic.

Alright the opening was beautifully written and seemed like it was going to be different but we are settling into the main plot and 🙄

Boy when the review said game of thrones meets whatever they were serious. She is literally Jon Snow. Not sure I can read this whole book. These stories seem like they’re supposed to be triumphant but they just feel defeating and sad.

A dragon could be a metaphor for so many things about being a woman - male on female violence, missing women who men murdered, healthcare for women that is ignored more by male doctors

I’m afraid this is going to be another letdown. Almost 50% in, and there’s no plot and no romance. Just pages and pages of why they could never like each other.

Slogging my way through TOG. I love ACOTAR with all my little heart but these books are just … not.

Missed opportunities with larks sleeping problems and Lachlan forcing himself into bed with her and insist that he stays with her until she falls asleep. If this isn’t going to feature any serial killing than it at least needs the romance.

It doesn’t have the charm of BnB. It’s very much giving Ilona Andrew’s Hidden Legacy series. It also needs editing for removing repetitive phrasing. It started off with a bang and then hasn’t gone back. I feel like nothing has happened. Not even spice.
