This book gives you a glimpse of the life of the Sawi people of Netherlands New Guinea before missionaries came to them. It is a brutal way of life. The first part of the book is a narrative of the customs and traditions so you clearly understand what the missionaries faced.

A very grim picture of the life of the Sawi people thus far. I like that it is told in a way that you see these people as real people not just nameless faceless natives.

Dull dialogue, dull characters, dull plot. After reading the other reviews I am wondering if I am the only person who didn't like it. I read many different genres but this book I couldn't get interested in at all I forced myself to read the whole book even though I just didn't care about Lizzy, Ripley and Dee or their life adventures.

I've finally figured out what I like so about these books. It is like combining Downton Abbey, Miss Marple and a good history lesson together. Lady Emily is becoming more accomplished as a detective but also maturing personally as her story continues. I like that not too much detail is given on the character's features so your imagination can be exercised. I'm having a hard time putting it down to do other things.

Lady Emily and her friends are keeping me entertained so far.

I am really enjoying this book. Lady Emily and her friends are interesting and I find myself picking it up every time a have a few minutes to read.

So far I love it. Emily is quite a character.

I just finished The Cats that Played the Market (The Cats that . . . Cozy Mystery Book 4).

Not very interesting. I have considered skipping to the last chapter. The characters are one dimensional and lifeless. The story is progressing at a snails pace with little to no action. Too much dialogue used to tell the story.
