Satisfying desire to know more since first hearing of baby doe by reading a menu in Birmingham Alabama in the 70’s. Great restaurant with the beginning of a story in the menu. Now, the book! Have stopped in Leadville when visiting family in Colorado. Little sign of the grandness, or the 42,000 population mentioned herein.

I will read anything Nevada Barr writes, without fail. That said, Boar Island does not fit her usual format; one of her darker books, with multiple deranged violent protagonists. Cyber bullying/stalking are main focus; calling for more effective procedures to avoid & to counter such attacks. Also informative on paraplegic concerns. Pigeon emerges battered, bruised, feeling somewhat older. A great nerve-racking read.

I just finished Our Love Will Go the Way of the Salmon and gave it 4 stars.

Re-reading this before adding conference where it will be discussed. Loved it the first time; loving it again.

Need to work and sleep keep getting in the way of the need to read! Want to finish this book, while reading slowly enough to savor it!
