So far I can't believe I spent nearly $10 on this eBook. Everyone is so out of character, I wonder why thr author didn't just write an original stroy. I'm going to finish it in the hopes it improves (though I doubt it)

I'm trying to drag this out as long as possible, while wanting to know RIGHT NOW how Ashwini & Janvier's story "ends"! Torture of the best kind, Nalini Singh-style.

I'm not entirely enraptured by this book, although I do love the premise. I'll give it a little more time.

I liked the idea. And let's be honest, I only want to read this because I loved GARGOYLES growing up. But this book is boring me. Maybe it'll get better?

I've been savouring this book for a few weeks now, only reading it while I'm on the treadmill at the gym. It's a great distraction from the exercise, I can tell you!

I'm really enjoying this more than I thought I would, as I wasn't sure what to expect having seen the TV series.

I'm struggling to get through this book. So far it's focusing on Mary's childhood years and I'm finding that I'm just NOT interested..

I am a glutton for punishment. This story is dragging on quite a bit, and the situations weren't entirely believable. The biggest one for me - why wouldn't Darcy have sent an EXPRESS RIDER to Longbourne, rather than the regular post? I get that it's creating more roadblocks for the pair, but still..

So far I'm not a fan of the extreme changes in the characterisations of Jane Bennet, Mr Bennet and Georgiana Darcy. But we shall see....

So far I'm not impressed.

I'm up to chapter 6, and the "rake" in this story hasn't done a rakish thing except lift an eyebrow... we hear about his reputation in the past tense, but even then it's only mentioned generally.

I'm also finding Emily boring. The writer tells us of Emily's sense of humour, but I've really yet to see it in action.

I hope this improves.

Bored now.. I don't know if I can continue this book at the moment, the writing is so stale and flat..

So far I'm not enjoying this book. I'm determined to finish it, but there are a few things that niggle at me as I read it..

ABANDON SHIP.

So far the writing hasn't been stellar. The language could use some editing.

It's a good story, but I think there's a little too much sex for me. I think Paranormal Romance is just another way of saying Paranormal Porn.

I haven't read this book in years, for which I blame my love of P&P. I forgot how long Austen liked her sentences in this book...

Really enjoying this book so far. The protagonist is a real character, with real thoughts and real reactions. Her inner monologue is hilarious - but because it's so true. Looking forward to reading more on the bus trip home tonight!

So far I'm about halfway through, and I'm having conflicting feelings about this book. I'm enjoying the story, and I'm even enjoying the characters - but it just seems like there's a new trick or ability that is presented whenever there is a conflict or problem. Rather than building on existing abilities or character traits, the author keeps adding new ones when a situation arises? Unsure yet, will keep reading.

So far I'm not enjoying it. The story uses large chunks of text from the original novel, and a lot of the original conversations are out of place of inappropriate for the era. I want to finish the novel, but I don't know if I'll be able to enjoy it as much as I want too with these kinds of drawbacks..
