Loving this so far! The first story, Mr Dark’s Carnival by Glen Hirshberg was excellent! And I look forward to more of the Halloween recollections of some of the other authors.

As this is my first read by Laymon, I’m not sure if all of his writing is filled with simple, stilted sentences as in this book. Or, if perhaps the author is making a point of writing that way for his 20-year-old, naive, lovelorn, male narrator. I can’t decide if it’s working for me or not. But I’m intrigued so I carry on.
