It is honestly impressive how well Linton is written. He is a victim of abuse who is very much dying but also the way he is written makes him an unpleasant and detestable character

I think I hate this book. There is no reason for it to be this long. So little has actually happened in the grand scheme of things and now we are in a time jump with actual things happening that it just makes the first 35% worse
