I kind of want to DNF because the writing is terrible, but I’m also kind of invested in the story. Authors, if you’re going to write a book in third-person-dual-POV, make sure you’re not mixing up which narrator’s turn it is! It’s just sloppy when the inner thoughts of one MC intermingle with the other’s.

Why is this book taking me so long to get through?

Crash and Burn by Melissa Weir - big fat DNF on this one. I made it to chapter 4 before I couldn't handle Kiera anymore. That has to be one of the worst female characters I've ever come across. And the dog thing... that's annoying as shit

I finished the first excerpt, from Hold Me. I'm so intrigued by Julian and "his pet" and I want to know more about their relationship. It seems as though he cares about her, but I wasn't sure about the demons she said he had. This might be a trilogy I'll have to try out :-)
