Brace For Impact by Daryl Devore - I really enjoyed this book. I wish there was more time to delve into the story, but I understand the need to keep it short and sweet with these compilations. I really loved Paix and Guy. They had great chemistry and just enough humor and fun between them to keep things interesting. I would've loved more details on how Paix made it to the island, where she spent the first night, then the second after storming off, how she went from basically hating Guy to being all friendly again, and how his rescue went down. Again, I know it's part of the short story deal. I really liked that most of the book was told from Guy's POV. You don't see that too often in non-serials. Two little itty-bitty critiques - 1) I don't know how to pronounce Paix, unless it's truly pronounced like the French word, and 2) I couldn't follow that French Canadian accent! I tend to get caught up wondering if I'm saying things correctly in my head...crazy, I know!
