I am enjoying reading this book as part of my morning devotional. Today's passage about how Jesus is all we could ever need or want, and that those who experienced near death only thought of him was especially touching.

The point at which I show my pro-life stance

Coming to one of my favorite quotes: "Stories are unusual things. In some ways, once they leave the world of facts and become fiction, they take a life of their own. Like a caterpillar leaving its cocoon, so too do stories transform into beautiful butterflies or horrific moths."

I am going to edit the climax at the abbey soon, and I just go through the sirens!

Just reached the heart of my story: having faith in the storms of life. Sharing soon!

I am enjoying the reread before tackling the next book

Just finished editing a scene where her parents are kidnapped. It's intense!

Edited Chapter 3. As I look over Amalia's part, I hope that I've done right in my portrayal of a deaf person.

Editing Chapter 1 & 2 done. On to 3!

You know it's a western when the cowboy doesn't get the girl

Getting a head start on this because I got it from the library. I will have to take notes for Book Club because we aren't going over this until October.

I figured out how to "read" this book. Skim the useless information and get to the point.
The constant random stories is what is driving me crazy and boring me to tears. There's only a few that interest me. When you take four chapters to tell me a car backfired instead of someone dying I am frustrated.

I have found someone inching to take Duchess' place, the Pastor, on the pedestal of I don't like this character. Then he did what he did with the car. Nope. Duchess is back to number 1 most hated.
At least the plot has gotten better.

I do not like Duchess and there's nothing you can say that will convince me otherwise.

I am sooo bored
Hate Duchess
I hope I can finish this by Saturday for book club

So much cleaner than the other book I had to DNF.

Rereading for a devotional of kinds. It is fun to visit this whimsical world again.

I am close to the end. This book is amazing but surprisingly dense, making it hard to breeze through.

I've been warned about this book...let's see if I can read it.

So far from this book I've gotten:
1. Boys are stupid, arrogant pricks who are selfish and have their own agendas
2. Girls are superior, smart, and can do better than boys
3. The rich are narrow minded fools who want to oppress the poor
4. The poor are victims of the rich's oppression

Yeah, I can tell I'm not going to like this book much. Just keep reading, Marie. It's for research!
