Not liking the formatting and just the way this book reads

Weird! And good at the same time

Getting creeped out already 🙀. Now the writing ✍️ style throws me at times, Sometimes having to re-read sentences or read them out loud. The author does add some human traits to make characters less flat, but I would like a bit more into what is going on in the characters mind, how she’s feeling in these moments. It’s here and there. Some of her is described in a matter of fact way.

Loving this book 📕. I love the relationship and banter between Mama Day (Miranda), and Abigail (sisters). I like reading on the complexities of love relationships, Gloria Naylor puts it so real feels like she can see into brain 🧠!

Chapter 10 of the audio book and of course that’s when I realize this is BOOK 4 of this series 😤😩😭. I always manage to do this with series .
