i don't like when everything is going this fast. i like more subtlety in my romance, but brandon was immediately like "this piper girl is so hot, her boobs and ass are fire". chill, man, you're seeing her for the first time. and they already had an interaction where they kind of acknowledged their attraction towards each other (?) when they said that they were not looking for this. can i get clueless pining, please??

it's been such a long time since i liked a hetero couple in a young adult book.

i think i just lost interest in the series. i don't remember any secondary characters at all, and it just pulls me out of the story.
sadly, it's a dnf.

adam is the only heterosexual man who matters.
i'm still a bit confused on why he is so hard on his students (i have my theories, but i'm not sure yet), so it keeps me from loving his character whole-heartedly. but the way he treets olive is so... 😱
