This one was hard to stay interested in. It wad written in almost a diary style with alot of minutiae about daily expenses and meetings, not so much about the man himself or his personal relationships with his nobles. I guess that's why I tend towards historical fiction. I usually enjoy Mr. Mortimer's books, but this one was a chore to finish.
