Everyone is annoying me

This book has been advertised to me/suggested to me several times in the last week so I’m seeing it as a sign it should be my next read. Pretty sure this isn’t going to be chill…

I don’t know if it’s a sign that I’ve matured or that I have lost patience with the absurdity of singledom but in so many of the situations Yinka finds herself in (all very real), I would simply leave immediately. I can’t understand so much of the plot because I’d be in bed eating crisps half way into so many of these conversations. It’s hard to listen to them unfold.

I feel like I’m really slogging my way through this book.

I’ve definitely broken away from reading stressful novels but I find the writing here to be sickly sweet. All the unnecessary foreshadowing is irritating. And although I initially liked the meta nature of the plot, I now just find it dragging.

Determined to finish today though…

Ok let’s try an audiobook

I realistically started reading this yesterday because I struggle with reading more than one book at once unless the other is an audiobook.

But now I’m obsessed with this book but the opposite of obsessed with the narrator, who is quite possibly the least likeable narrator I have ever come across. 🙄
