Somehow I finally managed to get around to listening to the audiobook of this novel... 6 years after I had intended to do so.

Quite a bit more to read, I'll admit. But it's coming along nicely the story. Threads are knitting together and there's a lot of things being answered right now.

Slowly but surely reaching the end of this book. May take a while tho.

I'm still reading this. Don't threat. But I'm taking a break to read other stories as well. And do other things right now.

Well... this is an unexpected turn.

I am liking this story a whole lot. Especially the court intrigue present in the Inysh court. It's so freaking engaging.

I can't side with Zelie here. Tzain is right for scolding her like this.

This attraction between Zelie and Inan comes out of nowhere I swear to god it's blunt and in your face. Also, I am right here, right now deciding to not continue on with the series past book 1. It does not reward readers for sticking with it.

That river fight was so wholesome.

Interesting... so if Inan has magic... he'd be an empath. Kind of makes me laugh given what we know of him currently.

This is getting really interesting, despite my botched theory.

This is becoming more and more interesting and I am actually impressed by the fact that Collins and Maram are working together but not to hurt Nicholas and Johanna and Esther, but to protect them from Richard.

I'm liking where this story is going. \o/

Why do I have a feeling that the founder of Nicholas' family library has already achieved immortality. And that he's posing as Nicholas' uncle... didn't Nicholas' narrative described him as "ageless"?
