Very good book about the devious, yet seemingly mystical creatures.

Very in-depth, especially how decades of poisonings were handled by government agencies.

Still interesting. Much in here.

Very heady, more native spirituality than I expected.

Very slow-reading book. Much detail in each paragraph. And it's somewhat winsome, too. Man connects with these animals throughout history, much.

Wow, very creepy story. I’ve heard the ending is a bit sudden and a let-down. Still burning through it. Good writing throughout, and thriller books don’t usually pair a good, slow burn with quality writing.

Good lord, what a crazy book. Well-written, but so much crazy that’s ongoing.

Kindle book reader really froze up a few times just by turning pages. Triggered Goodreads “finished” nonsense.

Wow, this is a realistic, possible-scenario book. Much like Room, which many have made comparisons.

Introduction alone was longer than expected.

Too much tries-to-be-spooky for any of that to work. Is there any connection to all this foreshadowing, or might this be so weak a book, that what I perceive as such isn’t foreshadowing.

Stephen King does spooky, set-apart villages so much better.

Rather lengthy… thought I’d be 60% through by now.

A bit much at this point on global warming, especially all the big ideas to reduce .04% of carbon as a viable effort. Still, interesting to see what folks are tackling. Possibly a 4-star book.

Many good sentences; much fun watching June Hayward not take a hint and again foolishly tred down bad paths, largely due to hubris.
I bet the conclusion doesn't disappoint.

I cannot unglue myself from my devices. Best sentence in the book (thus far).

Fun and ever so contemporary. Lots more Internet troll content than I expect. Tweets and influencers abound.
