"And then Julia says, “I don’t care. I want revenge,” and some part of Minor’s heart cracks in half at the pain in those words, and he realizes, in spite of everything, he does too."

WHY IS THIS SO GOOD!? I'm reading too fast. I have a feeling there's going to be a cliffhanger, which will make me LOSE MY MIND.

The fact it's been about 10 months since I've read "A Forbidden Alchemy" and have just jumped right into the sequel and not felt lost, just tells me how much I enjoyed/absorbed EVERYTHING about this series. I adore Patrick and Nina so much! 📣

"Her twentieth year, or her college junior year, for example, is currently ranked as her twenty-second-to-worst, instead of being labeled her best year. This is not a pessimist’s ranking system. Not having to wear the heavy mantle of “best year ever” decreases the pressure and stress on the year and its participant."

This is very similar to the way I interpret years.
I'm REALLY enjoying the ambiance Tremblay paints

"In a strictly objective sense, I understand how I got here, but leaving my experience at that would be a disservice to the utterly bizarre events that just unfolded."

I'm FLYING through this book.

Happy July/ New Summer bookmark Challenge!
I'm committed to:
1) Starting the Wheel of Time series
2) Reading "The God of the Woods"
3) Reading/ Knocking "Stardust" By Neil Gaiman off my TBR (Because it's been on my TBR here since 2009)
4) Returning to the Cosmere with "Yumi and the Nightmare Painter" By Brandon Sanderson.
5) Getting my Romantasy on with "Rites of the Starling" By Devney Perry

What are your plans?

I adore this book so far, even though my heart is breaking for Richie right now. 😢

Tell me WHY; in spite of the fact the first 40 pages bored me to tears, and I can only understand 20% of what Joseph is saying- I'm now OBSESSED?!
This Rollercoaster makes no sense.
