This is starting out very slow. A sign of how engaging a book is is how fast i read it, &this one is not compelling me to pick it up. Too much retelling for people who haven't read the series / have been too far removed since last reading it.Im bored with the whole mumbo jumbo of elana's family drama so far in the past. Way too many pages dedicated to it. Slogging through that to get to what's happening to the refuge

One of my least favorites. She was a wimpy sap. Dull and boring and if these guys weren't desperate for women, they'd have taken a hard pass. I therefore had a hard time liking him as he smacked of desperation and comprise.

Humorous, good plot advancement.
