What is with this series?! These MMCs are mean. I am not amused in the slightest. After DNFing book 1 and getting close by the page to DNFing book 2, I’m amazed at how the hell the author got book 3 right!

It’s a really good thing I didn’t read this book first. I probably wouldn’t have continued on with this series and would have missed out on Eliot’s book.

There is nothing worse than loving a book…for it to take a horrible turn and ruin it all.

I love RL Mathewson…but, this one feels forced, so far. It’s really irking me how someone who has 2 PHDs and is a college professor is so inept.

Slow burn reads can be tricky to pull off at times. When not done correctly, the hot & cold relationship comes off as juvenile and annoying. Sadly, that seems to be happening thus far in this book. The major character shift at the end of the 1st book has yet to improve. The once fierce FMC now reads like a whiny brat.

I’m not sure how I feel about this development. Obviously, RH means more than one MMC, but I’m not loving the way this addition is being introduced or that it is so late in the game.

At this point, I am only reading to find out what happens with the murder mystery. I am not feeling the "romance" in this book at all.

This series seems to be taking a dive. It ramped up the darkness too much for me and it’s taking way too long for any progress in the current situation.

Skipped Chapter 47 altogether! This chick has zero self respect. Thought she had some after making Easton grovel, but now I’m just ready for this book to be over.

I haven’t even finished the book yet but already know it’s gonna be a 2 stars rating (maybe 3 if I’m feeling generous.)

Maddox completely ruins this book!! I thought it couldn’t be worse than Easton in the 1st book, but I was wrong. It got worse!

This broad is so damn annoying and way too stupid. I just can’t! The only reason I’m not DNFing this book is because I only read this one to get to books 2 & 3.
I am so not a fan of either MC.
