This book is moving way too slow. I’m starting to skim pages just to get through it.

I am stretching this book out as long as I possibly can because I know I’m going to be wrecked when it ends 😭

I’ve only just finished the Prologue, yet I’m already dreading the end!

Wow. I really didn’t think it could get worse after it evened out at 3 stars. I was wrong!

The urge to DNF this one is creeping up…

I detest when an FMC does something so completely asinine that I wish it was possible to reach through the book and throat punch her.

Thus far, Selene has been slightly more than tolerable. Now, she is downright annoying.

We should have got 3 books of Roxilana and 1 book of Selene instead of the other way around.

Hooked, but trying to read slow so it’s not over too quickly!!

So excited for a brand new series from one of my all-time favorite authors! Jeaniene Frost is one of the reasons I fell so in love with reading. I have been waiting YEARS for her to start a new series.

Sadly, another author who was just a one hit wonder from me. After two DNFs in a row, I’m moving on from this author.

I’m pretty sure the word “grumpy” has been stated 500 times and I’m not even at the half way mark *insert eye roll*

If this doesn’t pick up, it’s gonna end up in the DNF pile 😒

What is with this series?! These MMCs are mean. I am not amused in the slightest. After DNFing book 1 and getting close by the page to DNFing book 2, I’m amazed at how the hell the author got book 3 right!

It’s a really good thing I didn’t read this book first. I probably wouldn’t have continued on with this series and would have missed out on Eliot’s book.

Oh, thank goodness! Glad that is over. Back to happiness lol

There is nothing worse than loving a book…for it to take a horrible turn and ruin it all.

Oh how I’ve missed this feeling of flying through the pages while hooked to the story ❤️
I am already dreading the end!

I love RL Mathewson…but, this one feels forced, so far. It’s really irking me how someone who has 2 PHDs and is a college professor is so inept.

Slow burn reads can be tricky to pull off at times. When not done correctly, the hot & cold relationship comes off as juvenile and annoying. Sadly, that seems to be happening thus far in this book. The major character shift at the end of the 1st book has yet to improve. The once fierce FMC now reads like a whiny brat.

Holy smokes, Batman! I did not see that coming! I could have had 100 guesses and I never would have been correct 😮
