This novella is 150 pages and is superb in every way. Young man interacts with older couple against the backdrop of the Nebraska frontier versus town life. It’s a very sad story about losing one’s place in society but charm, vivaciousness help the lost lady along her journey

This was a very strange book which started off as sci-fi about a spaceship full of beautiful women leaving the earth before the sun exploded . It then turned out to be a fever dream of the man who commanded the ship. It has Willingham’s usual humor and sex obsessions but it is not one of his better effort
