Humorous, and light. =) My only frustration is how there's no m/m action in there ... every time I hit a scene where I start cheering for more Ethan/Javier action I have to put it aside.

No one is faithful, sleeping around is so casually talked about, and the ease with which its the 'norm' just bothers me. The only reason I'm still reading this one is because I'm 2/3 way through ... might as well finish.

This is the second Mary Calmes novel I've started reading where everyone - and I mean just about EVERYONE - wants and desires the main character. It's very eye-roll-inducing.

I like the description of the scenery, of the situation, but am not fond of the characters at all. ><;;

I realize now why the first time I read this one, I came away feeling like I didn't have a grasp of it at all ... it's because the story bounces around so much. One sentence about breaking Silence, the next about sexual heat, the next about Bonner [a serial rapist.killer], the next about Nikita, the next about Clay, he next about Max's brother - all in one paragraph. Only to mix it up and regurgitate it in the next.
