I am amazed. The pacing is exquisite, the writing is immersive. The characters, even if their participation in the story is short, are well rounded. Was a bit afraid of how hardcore this was going to be. But at 32% it has not shocked me yet. We will see....

Quick pulpy read. It is entertaining but a bit slow at points. I do not really care for the characters. They are annoying caricatures, not relatable.

More of a though read than previous books due to vocab complexity and sentence structure/length. Very entertaining use of language, i like the characters too. Some events were a bit predictable.

It feels like a Mary Shelley inspired story. Including the main character (the doctor/scientist who brings the monster back to life). This doesnt bode well for the future predictability of the story....
