I’ve discovered that I really just can’t stand overly dramatic narrators. The book is fine - the audiobook is ok; I’ve tuned out most of it while doing other things; it’s too long, and a bit boring. To be fair, the narrator is giving her all - but I feel like: maybe just do less. I don’t need all this shrieking and shaking and crying and hoarse emotion to tell me the story. The words tell the story.

On page 325, 88% into this book, there is a scene where a woman supports and believes another woman that is so satisfying, so .. what’s a word for when something scattered and fractured becomes beautifully whole again?.. so , I am crying.

Did not finish. Pacing too slow

taking forever to read this book; I keep going back to re-read. this book speaks to me.

For anyone who has tried to make a rotten relationship work, tried so hard that the narrative of what you *created* it to be actually overpowered your ability to see what really was, this is our book

Slow going... Good book, but nonfiction makes me want to jump up and run to the boxing gym, or give the cat a bath ...
