I’ve discovered that I really just can’t stand overly dramatic narrators. The book is fine - the audiobook is ok; I’ve tuned out most of it while doing other things; it’s too long, and a bit boring. To be fair, the narrator is giving her all - but I feel like: maybe just do less. I don’t need all this shrieking and shaking and crying and hoarse emotion to tell me the story. The words tell the story.
