Mike Lisanke is finished with While the Light Lasts (Hercule Poirot, #47)
Not much of and ending and the development was awkward. I've found many great authors have stories that seemed either rushed or tired like the author was actually hungry or sleepy while writing... how can that happen?

I've learned w Fasting the body does Not Stay Hungry... the story of those bound for eternity unable to eat foods floating near them is BS. Stoica could teach many of the authors of tortures in Hell about resisting suffering (emotion) about their negative circumstances.

And, BTW many (most ?) obese people in life weren't as much glutens as impaired by eating the wrong foods. if we knew we wouldn't have been fat.

Mike Lisanke is starting Coma
Coma popped up on a movie stream again... IMO this is one of the most cerebral of terror stories And I recall was as good when read. Of course, having a very pretty young very smart MD at a hospital (doing the potential next chief of surgery (there to be trigger for Deus ex machina), Makes the movie tell of the story all the more wonderful. So, I'm back to reread the novel too.

there are always fascinating stories in Chinese philosophy stories,,, why? I'm not certain... are the stories always trying to be impressive with simplicity? is it all just the Te of these philosophy? So, the amusing story about why chimpanzee avoid the valley and have flat nose is now a favorite... it's because in grasshoppers vs chimpanzees is about the Te of grasshoppers but also about how Te is the power of small

BTW The bible had Jesus explain to his Apostles If a man has faith the size of a mustard seed he could move mountains. The author states Our Beliefs lock us into our reality; that's not beyond My belief system. I can't even philosophically convince myself that only I have created the Universe I think I'm living in -- Solipsism! But that doesn't mean I don't Believe its far more likely to be something else!

I'm going to pre-read this book before recommending it to my religious friends and relatives. Some books with God in the title aren't always written by an author with a belief in God

After the 1st few paragraphs I remember reading this author's short story collection... many were weird... all (almost) were well written and very good.... this is one author of many who had a few stories which were, like a dud (as if he needed sleep). But this looks like another great story.

I'm not certain why the short story associated with this collection of stories by the author is as alien as it is. And by alien I mean, less pedestrian. why is everyone's so called favorite work difficult (intentionally difficult) to understand it's meaning? And I'm not talking metaphoric or in another language or other cultural morphing... it's weird; it's alien.

Author repeats the Lie everything has to be Rare. He explains supernova theory (yes, theory) and decides that we can't get more heavy elements on Earth And can't use fusion to create energy. But I believe the author is wrong and that electrostatic and solid state physics allows us to not only create heavy elements but which will eventually allow us to fly in hover cars fueled by fusion energy from garbage. If someone believes in God, why can they Not believe it acted to create a Materialistic World? Why is supernatural Needed after first creation? Why is Intervention with God necessary after 1st creation (aside from what religions say Is necessary). IMO it's obvious God does Not need its creations Worship. Unless its some sort of conservation of worship sort of thing???

Religion is bad Because it always causes/caused war? What doesn't cause war? Also, religion is Not God. Religions are a practice of Dogma and Rites to Worship God (or interact) and it's by definition Political/Societal and that causes All of the Problems. The question is, how much does a God require Our Interactions with that God. If an Intelligent Designer Created a Universe that eventual created me, Great!

I find a lot of problems with the Omniscience of God. Or (in science) the 3D Space-time concept of the Universe (it exists and always has and always will and the block of space-time can be traversed but won't change hence No Free Will). It may be subjective but I feel I have free will... just how much is up to God. QED

This chapter does nothing to relate Science and God. Thinking about God and the creation of the Universe and Everything (e.g. Life) is No Proving the existence of God. In fact, the Godel Incompleteness argument destroys the concept of using logic to prove the existence of a purpose for the Universe and a God who had that purpose Before it existed.

I did Expect many more arguments from the Intelligent Design camp which were to a degree covered in the section on biologic complexity... but that group argues for an Intelligent Design of (all/part) of Nature. Many (IMO) will share this idea

Subjective testimony about a miracle is proof of nothing. So, again, this is a big fail for the author supposed to be writing a book about Science and God. But it's obvious the author is OK with Opinion being a big part of Science. Where does this come from? Poor education?

None of those (who didn't read reviews) would Assume a book on how Science confirms the existence of God would Expect a defense of the Bible for science accuracy Or the life/history of Jesus Christ as an actual person (P.S. I did read a great defense of the Accuracy of the New Testaments of the Bible which was good because That's what the author explained it was about... not a run-on-book about anything to prove God.

The concept of questioning an allegory as if it's a science theory is Stupid. First one has to interpret the meaning in the context of science But (of course) the author assumes that can be done with a proven stack of Lamba CDM theories. He can't... we don't believe they're correct and we don't believe they're evidence of God and even if you used them to "Prove" the bible has No "Errors" what does that prove?
