Decided to DNF

Okay either the writing has gotten better or I've just gotten used to it. I'm a little suspicious of Jerome right now

Just started this. The writing is kinda juvenile but im told that this is good recommendation for those who are looking for something similar to Lockwood and Co. So I'll try to make peace with it

I’m either getting too old for YA or this book really is that terrible. Is this really the same writer as the cruel prince? I mean I won’t say that the cruel prince was a masterpiece or anything but it was definitely better than whatever the heck this is.
If I read how beautiful oak is one more time…..I get it, why do I have to keep reading about his beauty? This is not an impressive read so far

I'm gonna put this on hold for now. I seriously canNOT relate to the main characters here. Jani is stupidly annoying and Bel is a stereotypical character (so far). The characters have no chemistry. It's a shame because the idea isn't bad. Just the execution of it.

I got a few words for Jani. None of them are complimentary
Annoying, irritating, incredibly dense, dim-witted, attention seeker and a terrible older sibling. The only reason why I'm still reading is because the plot is intriguing (not something new though). Let's see if there's any character development down the line

Re-reading this and I'm again reminded of why i fell in love with this trilogy. I wish these books were not so underrated. I honestly wish they were more popular because everything about the world Kelly Creagh created pulls you in. It's dark, its enchanting and its beautiful. I'm glad I decided to read these 4 years ago.

I don't think I can carry on with this. Its not that the book is bad, its just me. Its too insta love for me, emika is way too obsessed with hideko, I preferred the parts with her team except there's very little bonding with the team and most of her thoughts are about hideko. Even though I've left this, I'm still gonna write a review

I like this book. I really do. The plot is interesting. I don't understand some things but that's mostly because technology and I just don't mesh well. But. I don't know, I feel like I might be the only reader with this complaint but, Emika's obsession with Hideo is just a little annoying. She's always looking for him in a crowd, always hyperaware of him. It's...stopping me from fully enjoying this book

Love magnus so far :') Blackwood is a little annoying but then again it's far too early to form an opinion just yet.

I don't know.....it's a little boring compared to TID and TMI. I guess I miss the usual witty banter that Cassandra writes so well. I never had an issue with how will and jace seemed similar to each other. I just loved the dialogue between the main characters. But so far this is boring.

Considering the one star ratings from some of my favourite reviewers I'm surprised I still picked this up but I don't reget it. Loving it so far

I seriously despise maven for the moment.... that was just cowardly

What bothers me so far is the casual use of the title 'caliph' or 'khalifah' as we Muslims call it. Thing is, a khalifah is a representative of the Muslim ummah so the title is a huge deal to us. I'm trying to be objective but it does bother me. However this is well written I like it so far
