Sometimes characters in books are damn idiots. Who lets one experience with one person ruin their entire outlook on life? Especially an experience over a decade ago? And who, as a grown adult, doesn’t insist on actual communication to figure out if & how wires got crossed?

I honestly wouldn’t keep going through such BS if it weren’t for the fact that it’s the HEA I want.

Oddly enjoying the male perspective. If doing immersion read, beware that the female narrator’s voice is kind of annoying. So far, so good. Definitely has some trigger warnings I wasn’t expecting.
