Very informative yet easy to read. Eager to finish this one. Very refreshing after lots of duds I’ve picked up this year.

LOCKED IN. Amanda’s choices for herself and her girls tick me off, but I am absolutely invested to see if/how she and Lina will escape.

Very intriguing, great read so far!

I was really looking forward to reading this book, but she has a really weird obsession with talking about ethnic and sexual identities.

It’s interesting, but the pacing is a bit slow for my taste, and I’m not a fan of the interviews and emails that take up the majority of the book. This is one of those rare instances where the movie is better than the novel.

Reading a little bit day by day and am learning a ton of helpful information about mindfulness. 🥰

Interesting format. Most pages are email entries from various characters or POV of Bernadette’s daughter Bee.

I’m intrigued, but it’s off putting that the main character has to spell out certain words. I’m not sure why he does this, but and maybe it is explained later. The out of body description felt very real.

Very promising and engaging.

Like watching paint dry. The narrator/author uses superfluous words in between dialogue, and in the dialogue, the main characters say mostly say “sure” or one liners that don’t add any depth. I’ll finish it since it’s a fairly short read.

I have been doing a pretty awful job of choosing books lately. 🥲

Slow beginning and I’m not too sure how I feel about the main character Elizabeth, but it’s picking up the pace a bit.
