Don't judge a book by its cover. I thought this would be a folksy goofy romp but it's actually quite heavy, with clear Pratchettian influence

It's fun to grab a book off the shelf with absolutely no familiarity or expectations and discover it's fun!

Suffers from male-author-writing-women-syndrome though.

This was randomly on my parents' bookshelves. I'm hoping it tickles my need for religion influenced sci Fi given the title. Taking just a short break from my Gospel novelization kick.

Listening as audiobook. So far so good.

I don't think I've ever encountered a piece of historical fiction that makes facts up in order to make the story LESS fantastic, not more.

I have no idea what to expect from this series as it seems kinda psychedelic but it's published by Intervarsity, an organization that I'd say is the most milquetoast of evangelical organizations....

First of my audio books to replace the news in my daily commute.

Picked this up not so much because I particularly agree with a "one mountain many paths" view of religion or because I like Matthew Fox, but because I thought it was weird it was in a bargain bin at a Kroger in 2026.

Y'all, these books are so good.

Taking a break from my Jesus Book thing to read another novela by one of the authors who wrote one of my Jesus books.

This one is much closer to Pratchett in tone, which is fun!

The hardest part of this book for me so far is not trans Jesus (that's just fun and logical) it's that Mary isn't an ally.

I'm liking this, but I'm worried it was poorly proofread?

I might give up on this one. As an unfinished manuscript, it definitely suffers from being a first draft. A lot of "this happened and then this happened." Also, I'm getting the sense that no one else from the new testament is a character in this book, so it doesn't fit my current reading list anyways
